Youth Leadership Conference – Call for Speakers ​

We are currently accepting youth speaker proposals for our annual youth leadership conference, taking place Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM at the Special Olympics NJ Sport Complex. Please consider submitting a presentation proposal if you are interested in speaking.

Youth Leadership Conference is a collaboration of several reputed organization attempting to bring the communities together to empower our youth. It will be a full day conference to strengthen the leadership skills through an understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. It will be a great opportunity to listen to prominent speakers and network with like-minded youth leaders. Registration fee of $20 will include a Lunch, light snacks and the conference kit,

The conference will have 4 segments dedicated to gender, ethnicity, generation, and abilities. Each segment will feature a prominent guest speaker and 2 youth speakers. The details of the segments are available on the conference website.  

We are looking for creative and energetic youth speakers interested in presenting in one of the segments. High School Students are invited to submit proposals aligned with the theme on one of the following topics:

1.     Inclusive Leadership

2.     Social Media as a Leadership tool

3.     Lead with a vision

4.     Effective Collaboration

Proposal Requisites:

1.     Conference registration is mandatory before submitting the proposal

2.     This opportunity is available only for the high school students

3.     Selected speakers will have 5-7 minutes to speak during the conference

4.     For selection, the speaker must submit the title of their speech, a brief synopsis and a 2-minute video showcasing their presentation style before February 17^th, 2023

5.     Selected candidates will be notified by February 21, 2023, and a mentor will be assigned to them

6.     The speakers must commit to attend and participate fully in the conference

7.     The decision of the selectors will be final

A special recognition will be given to all speakers
